Camryn Manheim (born March 8, 1961) is an American actress known primarily for       
her roles as attorney Ellenor Frutt on the ABC legal drama The Practice and as       
Delia Banks on Ghost Whisperer.                                                       
                                                                                     
Manheim was born Debra Frances Manheim in Caldwell, New Jersey, the daughter of       
Sylvia, a teacher, and Jerome Manheim, a mathematics professor. Her family is         
Jewish. Manheim became interested in acting after working at a Renaissance           
Faire in high school. Manheim graduated from the University of California at         
Santa Cruz in with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts of degree in 1984 and New York           
University with a Master's degree in Fine Arts in 1987.                               
                                                                                     
Manheim worked as a sign language interpreter at hospitals(Which she learned in       
high school). Her knowledge of sign language was utilized at times on The             
Practice and also for her role as a Child Behavioral Psychologist in the movie       
Mercury Rising. Manheim won an Emmy award for her work on The Practice and           
exclaimed that "This is for all the fat girls!" She followed up on this               
statement with an autobiography entitled Wake Up, I'm Fat!. A one-woman show of       
the same title preceded the book.                                                     
                                                                                     
In 2005, Manheim earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an         
Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made         
for Television, as well as an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress     
In A Miniseries Or A Movie for her work in Elvis. Beginning with the second           
season in 2006, Manheim has joined the cast of CBS' Ghost Whisperer. In 2007,         
she appeared as the Nurse in the Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park             
performance of Romeo and Juliet at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.             
                                                                                     
She was Mikayla's manager on Hannah Montana.                                         
                                                                                     
Manheim is an avid human rights activist with a focus on women's rights and gay       
rights. She is known to have made contributions to a variety of charities,           
notably RAINN. Manheim has also been involved with the Los Angeles based charity,     
Bet Tzedek Legal Services - The House of Justice, serving as a co-chair for           
their annual fundraiser, The Justice Ball. She maintains her own official             
website where she can interact with fans.                                             
                                                                                     
She has a son named Milo Jacob. Her brother, Karl Manheim, is a law professor at
