Indrani Sen’s prodigious talent in various disciplines in the world of Indian music projects her as the most popular female artist in the field of Rabindra Sangeet.
She is the daughter of well-known dinger Sumitra Sen. In Rabindra Sangeet, she underwent training from the legendary singer, Debabrata Biswas. She received training in classical singing from Bibhuti Dutta, while Purabi Dutta taught her ‘Nazrulegeeti’.
Indrani is also an outstanding academicion. She is a reader and head of the department of Economics in a leading college at Kolkata. In the field of music, Indrani’s distinctive style with a well-modulated delivery has made a delightful experience for her listeners. Indrani was also the only privileged artist to sing the new songs composed by R.D. Buuman in his last Bengali composition ‘Shurey Shurey Jal Bona’.
