GWEN IFILL
A native New Yorker, Ifill is a graduate of Simmons College. She has covered the White House, Congress, presidential campaigns, and the government for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Baltimore Evening Sun, and the Boston Herald American. In 1994, Ifill became a reporter for NBC News, reporting on the Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, Today, and MSNBC. In 1999 she joined the PBS news programs Washington Week in Review, as moderator, and The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, as senior correspondent and occasional anchor.
