Mahant Sri Krsna Balaram Swamiji is an expert Sanskrit scholar and teaches the exact ancient science as revealed in the ancient Vedas. Sometimes the Vedic knowledge may seem harsh, but it is most important to learn the truth about what is to be done and what should be avoided in life. Swamiji says, “It is not important what one has done in the past, but it is important what one does from this point onward. One should live life according to God’s desires to reach the Spiritual World and enjoy with God. One must become perfect, otherwise we will fall short of reaching our eternal home.”
Mahant Sri Krsna Balaram Swamiji is an extraordinary saint, because he is born in the holiest land in India, Vrindaban Dhama, the birth place of Lord Krishna. Per the Veda, for one who takes birth in Vrindaban, he or she is a Vrijabasi, a close associate of Lord Krishna. The great Lord Brahma (the first created being in charge of this Universe) glorifies the Vrijabasis, in the cream of the Vedas, known as The Srimad Bhagavatam, in Canto 10, Chapter 14, Verse 34, thus:
“O Supreme Lord, if I am given birth in any form, either in one of the forests of Vraja (Vrindaban) or specifically within the premises of Gokul village, I will know that I am greatly fortunate. Because, if I take birth in this land, someday the dust from the feet of one of Your Vrajabasi devotees will anoint me. O, Infallible Lord, the scriptures seek to know even the dust particle from Your feet and still have not found You. That very same Lord is personally the life and soul of the Vrajavasis.”
About Swamij
Mahant Sri Krsna Balaram Swami appeared in a family of enlightened Gauda-Brahmana Vaisnavas who scrutinized the Yajurveda, one of the four highly recognized ancient Vedas. Swamiji’s father, a highly respected Guru of many in the Vrindaban area, began tutoring his son at the tender age of four, at their home in Vrindaban, India. At the age of eight, Swamiji’s father enrolled him in Vrindaban’s renouned Nimbarka Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya College where he lived in the dorm and studied continually for eight years. There he became fluent in Sanskrit. A brilliant student, he then transferred to an English college, where he learned to translate the ancient Vedas into English.
Swamiji’s birth dynasty dates directly back to Kasyapa Muni (one of the seven mentally conceived sons of the first created being, Lord Brahma). His dynasty is called the Khajiri Dynasty (one of the first seven ancient dynasties), since the time of his ancestors. In the past one of his ancestors daily blessed the king. One day, due to an overload of managerial duties the day before, the king was absent from the palace where the blessing was to take place. When the Pundit (Swamiji’s ancestor) realized that the king was not going to attend the blessing that day, he decided not to waste the blessing paraphernalia and auspicious moment, and left the palace. Outside the palace he came upon an old dry Khajura (date) tree on which he preformed the blessing. The next day the king awoke on time and was awaiting the Pundit’s arrival, when he saw the Khajura tree to be fresh and green with vigorious life. The king asked his servant how this has come about. The servant replied, “Since you were not present yesterday for the blessing, the Pundit blessed the tree instead, thereby the tree has flourished."Since then Swamiji’s Dynasty is known as Khajiri.
Swamiji is preaching the unchanged, age old science of God around the world. He has written many books in Sanskrit and English to develop a foundation to further spread the science of God. In 1990 he registered, Bhagavat Dharma Samaj, a society dedicated to enlightening the illusioned people of the world. Recognized as a genuine authority on Vedic Knowledge, Swamiji was awarded the title Mahant (Archbishop) in 1991 by the four Vaisnava Sampradayas (traditional Vaisnava Schools), and is also well respected by elected officials such as;
as well as many other intellegent recognized officials and intellectuals around the world. (It is not nessasary to be respected by high ranking political officials, but their respect can help the innocent people of the world judge Swamiji’s spiritual qualifications. As the saying goes, ‘What great men do, common men follow.’) What further can be said about Swamiji, Srila Visvanatha Chakravarti Thakura, an ancient recognized authority on Gaudiya Viasnavism says that if you want to learn spiritual life perfectly, you should go to Vrindaban and learn from the Vrjabasis, the local residents. Five hundred years ago, one of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s favorite disciples, Srila Prabodhananda Sarasvati Thakura, wrote the following in his book, Sri Vrindaban Mahimamrtam thus:
“The Brahmana is the Guru of the four social orders (Brahmana, Ksatria,Vaisya, and Sudra); the Sanyasi (renounced) is the Guru of the Brahmanas; the Imparishable Being is the Guru of the Sanyasis; and the Vrijabasi is the Guru of that Imparishable Being.”
Swamiji is currently writting Vrijabasi commentaries on the Srimad Bhagavatam, which we hope will enlighten the readers on the transcendental path. Jai Sri Radhe.
