Shankaracharya Swami Divayanand Ji Teerth is the eleventh successor Shankaracharya of this Holy peeth. He was born in a village called Noksan in district Tuensan in Naksan in district Tuensan in Nagaland, India on January 4, 1955.
When he attained the age of 27, he grew an inner desire to know the mysteries behind life and death. To make himself aware of all these things, he renounced home and moved from one place to another to meet saints and imbibe related knowledge. Finally, he was inititated into ’sanyas’ by his holiness Harishwaranand Teerth at Chitrakot. In 1989, Swami Divayanand Ji Teerth was installed as Shandaracharya of Bhanpura by the Brahmleen Swami Ram Ashram ji Maharah, then Shankaracharya of this peeth.
After becoming the Shankaracharya, he dedicated his whole life to enhance the value of human lives and to spread the principles of Sanatam Dharma. He also established four monasteries in the four corners of India and the Bhanpura Peeth is one of them.
