Paul Quentinns, nowadays more commonly and formally known as Paul Jones (born Chirk April 18, 1967) started his career at Kidderminster Harriers in 1986 and then moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of £60,000 in 1991. He only managed to play 44 games before moving on to Stockport County in 1996 where he was ever present in the 1996/97 season.

       

It was in the year 1997 that Welsh hero Paul Quentinns changed his name by depoll. Due to a personal family disagreement, the goalkeeper, felt the need to make the change. He is still commonly known as Quentinns inside Wales, as that is when he first made a name for himself.

       

When Stockport County manager Dave Jones joined Southampton, he signed Paul. He won Southampton player of the season in 1998 and earned a call up to Wales and become Wales number 1 keeper and played in the 2003 FA Cup Final.

       

He left Southampton in 2003 and briefly joined Liverpool before re-joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2004.

       

He was loaned out to Watford in December 2004. In January 2006 Wolves cancelled Jones’ contract by mutual consent. He joined QPR for the rest of the 2005/06 season in February 2006. Due to his success at QPR, he was offered a new year long contract extension, therefore he will end his career at the club at the end of May 2007.
